My third day in Shanghai
We start the adventure by heading for Qi Bao, an old town located a bit outside Shanghai. There are several bridges of the old-fashioned kind spanning the dark-green river. We spot a few wooden boats either waiting at the riverside or carrying some goods for the locals. The cloudy weather has made the whole town grey and dark but charming enough for the visitors. The trip started at 05:30 in the morning, though struggling to get up, it was not too hard to regain some of the energy afterwards. It is the start of my six day trip to my hometown, Shanghai.

Facebook is an amazing creation, according to Ipsos MMI´s figure for Q3 2016, 81,5% of the population (3 294 000) living in Norway have a FB account. I had a FB account 6 years ago, an inactive one with no profile picture, no background information, and not a singe post had been published during the short period I possessed this account. Without even noticing it, spring is suddenly here. The trees have turned green, the flowers are blossoming. Imagine that you are on a train which takes you through the sea of cherry blossoms, while the smell of the flowers makes you feel that spring is on every inch of your skin. This is my very first blog post, I´ve been thinking of starting a blog for quite a while now, just a way to share my thoughts and passion for writing with those who have the similar interests.
Most of us seem to live a rather hectic life nowadays with work and family commitments, a timeout just for ourselves does not always fit in with our tight schedule. It´s perhaps necessary to allocate some time to listen to the internal monologue, the stream of thoughts that are running through our heads consciously or unconsciously, and have some reflections on the life we are a part of.
